DPF Solutions

The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is designed to capture soot particles from exhaust gases before they reach the atmosphere. Over time, DPFs can become blocked — especially in vehicles that do mostly short journeys or city driving where the exhaust doesn't get hot enough to trigger a regeneration cycle. A blocked DPF is one of the most common diesel faults we deal with.

We offer professional DPF diagnostics using manufacturer-level equipment. Depending on the severity of the blockage, we can perform a forced regeneration to clear the soot, or where appropriate, provide a software solution to resolve persistent DPF issues. We always advise on the best course of action for your specific vehicle.

Signs Your DPF Is Blocked

DPF warning light on dashboard
Vehicle in limp mode / reduced power
Increased fuel consumption
Excessive smoke from exhaust
Engine management light illuminated
Difficulty starting the engine

EGR Solutions

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve recirculates a portion of exhaust gases back into the engine's intake to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. While this helps meet emissions targets, the EGR valve is prone to carbon buildup over time. A clogged or sticking EGR valve can cause significant running issues and is a common fault on high-mileage diesel vehicles.

We provide full EGR system diagnostics to identify whether the valve is stuck open, stuck closed, or partially blocked. Once diagnosed, we can advise on the most appropriate solution — whether that's cleaning, replacement, or a software-based approach for off-road and competition vehicles.

Signs Your EGR Valve Is Faulty

Rough or uneven idle
Noticeable loss of power
Black or dark smoke from exhaust
Engine management light on
Poor fuel economy
Failed emissions test

AdBlue Solutions

AdBlue systems inject a urea-based solution into the exhaust to reduce harmful NOx emissions. Found on most modern Euro 6 diesel vehicles, the AdBlue system includes a tank, injector, pump, and NOx sensors. When any of these components develop a fault, the vehicle may display a countdown warning and can eventually prevent the engine from restarting.

We offer professional AdBlue system diagnostics to pinpoint the exact fault — whether it's a faulty injector, sensor failure, or a pump issue. We can then advise on the best solution, including component replacement or software-based solutions for off-road and competition vehicles. All road vehicle work is carried out in compliance with UK emissions regulations.

Signs of an AdBlue System Fault

AdBlue warning light on dashboard
"No restart" countdown warning
Vehicle won't start after refuelling AdBlue
AdBlue consumption abnormally high
Engine management light illuminated
Error codes related to NOx or SCR system
